Do you have the time? [Mar. 17th, 2012|12:34 pm]
It's been years.. But do you still have the time, to listen to me whine?

Good, because probably 1 or 2 people will read this so I'll keep it short, sweet and direct.

Look at this link... https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.155347598882.115664.507353882&type=3

Those are mobile phone uploads from about a year and a half ago... All I see are chicken wings and other delicious foods mixed with random awesome stuff.

Was I more enthusiastic about life then? It feels that way. I take pictures with my phone nowadays and I'm like... 'meh, I don't want to upload this' ... What's wrong with me?

People are disappointing. I'm indecisive. Sometimes I want to travel (get away) and sometimes I want to stay home and get away from everything else. It see-saws so frequently lately.

I'm extremely easy. Somebody save me.

How Is Your 2009 So Far? [Aug. 8th, 2009|03:26 pm]
With a little more than 7 months in the record books, 2009 has been one of the most important years of my life. I hope it has been as eye opening and beneficial to you as it has to me.

I've met some great people and I've forged even stronger bonds with my current friends and coworkers.

In mid 2008 I was presented an opportunity to work on something that I love. Since then everything has been going my way. I'm very thankful to my good friends at work who believed in me and helped me along the way.

Towards the end of 2008 Kailee moved back down to San Diego to live with me permanently. She's now going to the same elementary school I went to and is a 'joy to have in the classroom' according to her teachers. ^_^

My sister moved to New Zealand towards the end of the year and while most of the family was sad, I was happy for her (even though I always made fun of her and called her stupid) because she was doing what she wants to do with her life.

2009 brought us Street Fighter IV and with it the fighting game community has grown bigger that it ever has. I've never seen so many mentions both online and offline to competitive gaming, arcade sticks, and people wanting to actually learn how to play a fighting game! With all these new and exciting games on the horizon such as BlazBlue, King of Fighters XII, and TEKKEN 6... There has never been a better time to get back into fighting games.

All games aside. People. I love you people. My friends at Mad Catz, SD TEKKEN, Capcom, Namco Bandai Games, AKSYS, and everyone else I've met/interacted with this year. This is a really geek filled note, so I won't go too in depth. But I value every conversation and interaction I have with people.

Also wanted to say to my good friend Harry Chang.... I'm proud of what you've done, you're an inspiration to me bro. Keep up the good work!

Chris and Lawrence, you two were the biggest help of all. Thanks for looking out for me in the workplace. I won't let you guys down. Nate will though.

I'm writing this as if 2009 is already over or something. Usually after EVO and Comic-Con I have nothing else to look forward to... But this year... THIS year... I'm already looking forward to PAX, CES, PAX East, and all kinds of other events NEXT year... I've never had my outlook on a year with my focus carrying over beyond the Fall season. This is awesome. Something inside of me has changed.

I used to think that turning 27 was going to make me start feeling old... Truth is I've never felt younger.

I'm a different person than I was last year, that much is obvious to me. I guess I gotta thank the women in my life. :P

2009 isn't over yet though. I'm going to make the best of it.

Will you?

I'm back! Kailee is too! [Oct. 25th, 2008|04:24 am]

[Current Mood |happyhappy]

I'm back from my trip to Hong Kong! Kailee is back in San Diego for good now too! She's going to Mary McCleod Bethune Elementary School (where I went 20 years ago!)... Good times and fun times!

I kinda (lazily) kept track of my trip to Hong Kong. If you care to read about it check here:

http://sdtekken.com/sdt/markman/hong-kong/

I also have a bunch of pictures on my flickr!

Back to work... catching up on manga and anime!

During the plane trips, I ended up watching HELLA movies... I watched...
  • Forgetting Sarah Marshall
  • Hancock
  • Kakushi Toride no San-Akunin: The Last Princess
  • Police Story
  • The Love Guru
  • Meet Bill
  • Get Smart
And some others...  But really.. I have one thing to say about HK.  The city is AMAZING.  I want to go back there soon just to experience it again.  Too much work during this trip!
So back in San Diego... things seem like they're happening so fast at work.  People are coming and going in the office.  One person in particular is one of the only people I interact with at work.  I'm really sad to see them go.  But I wish the best for them and their future! <3

Good fight.  Good night.  I suck with details.  ;)

Crazy life... [Sep. 27th, 2008|11:14 pm]

[Current Mood |sleepysleepy]

Crazy life... Life is crazy.  I spoke to someone tonight that I never thought I'd have a chat with.

The news hit me hard.  This is definitely something that shocks me.  But most of all.  It hurts me and makes me sad to no end.

This is definitely going to change my life.  I won't let it make me weak.  I'm going to be stronger and more determined than ever.  Both at work and at home.

<3

God bless you all.
